Local Area Care Fair 2025: Exhibition Report - Connecting Citizens' “Wish Lists” to the Future

On Monday, November 24, 2025 (a national holiday), we jointly exhibited the ‘Considering Future Care’ booth with the Kawasaki City Nursing Association at the “Local Care Fair 2025: Playgrounds and Learning Spaces for Adults - Connecting Through Hobbies, Preparing for the Future” held at the Takatsu Community Center in Takatsu Ward, Kawasaki City (Organizer: Kawasaki City Health and Welfare Bureau).

This fair drew significant public interest. Blessed with fine weather, it became a lively and vibrant event bustling with many participants. Our booth also welcomed numerous visitors.

At the booth, we introduced the overview of Project CHANGE, which we have been advancing since 2022. Additionally, the Kawasaki City Nursing Association presented various initiatives supporting citizens' health.

As the main feature of our booth, we invited citizens to write their wishes for healthcare, nursing, and caregiving—such as “I wish there was something like this”—or their dreams for the future on sticky notes and post them. In just about four hours, we were amazed to receive nearly 100 passionate comments. From specific needs based on personal experiences with illness or caregiving to hopes for the future of healthcare, we could tangibly feel the citizens' passionate feelings and earnest expectations regarding medical care and support.

We will not let these valuable opinions remain mere ideas. Instead, we plan to deeply analyze them as important research themes for the future Project CHANGE and utilize them in concrete research activities.

Driven by the voices of our citizens, we will strive to realize better regional healthcare, nursing, and long-term care systems.
