The 5th General Meeting of Project CHANGE

On January 17th, the 5th General Meeting of the COI-NEXT Kawasaki (Project CHANGE) by MEXT/JST was held at Shimadzu Tokyo Innovation Plaza (Tonomachi, Kawasaki). This meeting gathers all participating organizations of the project twice a year to share and discuss the direction and progress of the project activities, as well as to confirm whether necessary collaborations are being effectively established. Over 100 members attended.

This time, in addition to each research and development group presenting their progress and future plans, there were panel discussions on “Social Implementation of Senescence Control” by Theme 3 x Theme 5, as well as on the challenges of “Demonstration Research for Technology Implementation” by (Theme 1 + Theme 2) x Theme 4. These initiatives, keeping in mind an exit strategy, garnered significant interest from attendees and helped foster a co-creation awareness among nursing, engineering, and corporate sectors.

There was a strong presence from participating companies, with 10 presentations (28.6% of the total) at the poster session, significantly surpassing the previous rate of 13.8%.

Finally, we received feedback from Advisors Nobuo Hanai (former Chairman of Kyowa Kirin Co.,Ltd.) and Takayoshi Mimura (former Chairman of Terumo Corporation), which will serve as valuable insights for the future.
