Dr. Satoshi Uchida, Principal Research Scientist at iCONM and Professor at Tokyo Medical and Dental University, affiliated with Research and Development Theme 2, has published a method for producing non-immunogenic mRNA for vaccines in collaboration with Nagoya University in Nature Communications.
Previous methods resulted in a mixture containing 10-20% mRNA that could induce immune responses, making purification labor-intensive. This new method enables the production of nearly pure, immunogenic-free mRNA.
