The Care Competency Program, spearheaded by Professor Ayumi Igarashi of Chiba University's Graduate School of Nursing as part of Project CHANGE, aims to cultivate “care-giving abilities” in preparation for the era of universal care—where everyone provides and receives care—expected due to Japan's declining birthrate and aging population. The program's outreach class held at Kawasaki Municipal Takatsu High School was featured in the October 21st edition of the Yomiuri Shimbun.
