First iCONM/CHANGE Open Academic Seminar of This Fiscal Year
On June 13, we invited Professor Kohei Soga from the Department of Functional Design Engineering at Tokyo University of Science to hold the first iCONM/CHANGE public academic seminar of this fiscal year. The topic was "Engineering to Assist the Human Body," where he introduced the newly established department that focuses on engineering to compensate for labor shortages caused by declining birth rates and an aging population.
Additionally, we had a fascinating discussion about research using near-infrared light, which is gaining attention as a radiation-free method in the field of medical imaging.
This seminar was held in a hybrid format, with approximately 90 participants attending.
The next open academic seminar is scheduled for July 15.
